These photos offer a fresh perspective on branding food.

Commercial food photography trends come and go. Natural light, studio light, ring flash, top-down, less perfection, more perfection, "authentic," classical still life, art driving reality... the list goes on.
What keeps brands, consumers, editors, and creative directors looking is a sense of celebration, curiosity, and often experimentation. Food as something you want to envelop yourself in, devour, or simply stare at for its beauty, complexity, and source of sustenance.
These photos from Luupe photographers succeed in all of that. Sometimes they're bold and brash, at others, delicate and naturally lit. And still, others pull from pop art with fresh new vibes, while others are just...hilarious.
These photos make us see food in new and exciting ways, with the staying power to keep us looking.

▲ " An image from a new personal project based around the Loewe Broken Egg Heels. The moment I saw them, I couldn't get over how ridiculous and interesting they were. They're exactly what Jeremy Scott wishes Moschino could be but done in a way that only JW Anderson can...After seeing them again at the temporary Loewe store earlier this summer, I was remotivated to find a way to shoot them...even if it was for myself....While shooting, I noted that this could be a series about fertility and after Roe v. Wade was ignorantly shot down, I stand by it." © Julia Chesky
