As veterans of the photography, design, and advertising world, our team has an almost-infinite list of tabs open on our browsers for nearly every creative awards open call you can think of. We’ve narrowed it down to this list of eleven with some deadlines approaching in the coming weeks. If we missed a great opportunity, please get in touch - we’d love to have it on our radar.
The ADC Annual Awards, now in its 101st year, honors the best and most groundbreaking creative talent across graphic design, illustration, publishing, packaging, advertising to photography and more. This year’s jury includes a diverse and exciting group of influential leaders at agencies, brands, publications and institutions including Ogillvy, Sid Lee, BBDO, Squarespace, Google, Soptify, The Whitney Museum and The New York Times.

Beyond its smmart title, Awwwwards recognizes the talent and effort of the best web designers, developers and agencies in the world. It looks to where digital design professionals from across the globe find inspiration, share knowledge and experience, connect, and provide constructive, respectful critiques. The basic premise guiding all decisions: “Always questioning,” “always evolving.” Jurors include leaders at WeTransfer, Buzzfeed Studio, and more.

One of the most coveted awards series and events (seriously, wild and lavish activations if you ever have the chance to attend these in person!) Cannes Lions includes nine tracks that span the many disciplines across global branded communications. Beyond the awards, the event includes talks, learning experiences and an expansive digital platform.

Communication Arts has been one of our favorite design-culture magazines for decades. We often look to the annual when considering new photography to consider for The Luupe. This call recognizes any photograph first published or produced from March 2021 through March 2022, selected by an international jury of creative directors and photographers. The winning entries publish in Communication Arts’ Photography Annual, in print and digital editions. Additionally, as a service to art directors, designers and art buyers, a comprehensive index will carry contact information of the photographers represented. Oh, and there’s a personalized aluminum “Award of Excellence,” and award certificates issued for firms, individuals and clients if that floats your boat!

D&AD Awards highlights the world’s best creative work of the year, bringing it to a global stage. Its primary goal is to inspire the international creative community to learn, grow, and set new benchmarks for creative excellence. Fast Company‘s Innovation by Design Awards celebrates nearly every iteration of design. “We honor thoughtful, striking design that has the potential to transform people, businesses, industries, and society writ large.” This year, Fast Company add categories including Automotive, Circular Design, Hospitality, and the timely “Rapid Response,” which celebrates design innovation that responds to our quickly changing world.
Deadline: Fast Company is accepting entries until April 29, 2022 but if you apply by March 18, there’s a significant discount.

FWA launched in May 2000 as a place to experience innovation in digital design and development. It’s a space that highlights advances in the digital industry, focusing on technology that pushes boundaries and creative expectations.
The awards boasts a team of over 500 judges across 35+ countries who vote on submissions daily. These projects can be watched live, in judging, just follow the "Live Judging" link in the website’s menu.

These annual awards celebrate the best in material design – Google's design language which uses expanded grid-based layouts, responsive animations and transitions, padding, and depth effects such as lighting and shadows. Last year, the awards focused on products that use Material Design to deliver more dynamic, personal experiences through Motion, Large-screen design experiences, and expressive implementations of Dark Theme.

The One Show is one of the three most respected awards programs for advertising, design, and digital marketing. An international panel of creative and business leaders evaluate the creativity of ideas and quality of execution of each submission. Like the ADC Awards, it’s produced annually by The One Club for Creativity, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and celebrate the success of the global creative community.

The Shorty Awards started 2008 as the first award show to honor social media. Initially powered by Twitter users, the who’s who of the social web were voted on and honored in real-time via hashtags. Since then, the Shorty Awards has evolved to honor the work of brands, agencies, influencers, creators and other social media professionals.

Established in 1996 during the early stages of the internet, The Webbys is the most prominently recognized award honoring great work on the internet, or as the New York Times put it, "The Internet's highest honor." Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS)—a 2000+ member judging body comprised of Executive Members—leading Internet experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities—and Associate Members who are former Webby Winners, Nominees and other Internet professionals.
